Responsibilities:
- Enters and maintains anesthesia scheduling data in databases, posting cases with details like demographics and procedure times.
- Answers incoming calls from surgeons, hospitals, and patients, collaborating internally for cross-coverage and backup support.
- Notifies providers of daily schedules and resolves conflicts by communicating with external clients.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred and 1-3 years of related experience or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with multi-line phone systems, able to handle large volumes of work.
- Knowledge of medical practices and terminology, with previous surgery scheduling experience being a plus.
Work Environment:
- The role involves frequent sitting and computer use, with occasional standing and walking, using office equipment remotely.
- Requires a flexible schedule for shifts between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm, including overtime, with reasonable accommodations available.
