Fact Checker/Editor

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often under tight deadlines.
• Review, assess, and provide feedback to ensure POGO's written projects are accurate, fair, clear, and nonpartisan.
• Assist with proofreading, maintaining style guide, and collaborating with writers.

Qualifications:

• Four years of fact checking or researching experience in a newsroom, nonprofit, or similar.
• Demonstrated editing experience across different content types and knowledge of AP style.
• Commitment to accuracy, nonpartisanship, and collaboration, with a focus on equity and inclusion.
