Journalism Editor Internship (People of Color Entertainment Trade Site) Intern

This is a volunteer unpaid role that can also be used as a long-term internship, if possible, per agreement. A Hot Set is looking for a long-term (12-month commitment) Editor. The position of the Editor is unpaid and part-time. Responsibilities include acting as ranking site manager under the direction of the Publisher and assisting in selecting and supervising the site contributors.

Copy Editor

Collaborate with a highly experienced team to copy edit daily and weekly print editions, as well as premium magazines for SCNG, the Bay Area News Group, and the San Diego Union-Tribune. You will participate in news planning and efficiently manage page flow under tight deadlines, including proofing and clearing pages for print. You will also develop engaging supplementary content such as refers, explainers, pull quotes, and captions to support design.

Managing Editor

The Managing Editor will report to the Executive Editor of SCOTUSblog, and work closely with SCOTUSblog’s reporters, contributors, and contractors to plan and publish all of SCOTUSblog’s content. This individual will also manage most aspects of the website, including posting articles, keeping the statistics page current, updating case pages, and a variety of other tasks. The Managing Editor will also have the occasional opportunity to cover Supreme Court-related events.
