Engineering Manager

Cycle Operations:

• Plan and track development cycles end-to-end, ensuring clarity and visibility.
• Run cycle kickoffs and retros to maintain clear outcomes and clean starts.
• Keep GitHub project boards, issues, and milestones current and tidy.

Triage & Prioritization:

• Own the inbound queue for bugs and customer requests, ensuring proper triage and assignment.
• Work with the Head of Engineering to balance incoming requests against cycle commitments.
• Ensure nothing urgent sits unaddressed and nothing routine gets forgotten.

Follow-Through:

• Proactively follow up with engineers to close open loops before they become problems.
• Maintain a clear picture of what's in flight, blocked, or at risk.
• Act when things go quiet to keep the team moving.

People Management:

• Conduct regular 1:1s to understand each engineer's technical and professional progress.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to help engineers grow and do their best work.
• Support hiring through screens, interviews, and onboarding with structured ramp plans.
