Backend Platform Engineer

About the Role:

• Close runs on Python and backend platform owns the layer that makes product teams faster.
• This is a new team; you'd be one of the first hires with unusual influence over what the team owns.

You Are:

• A seasoned Python engineer drawn to meta-problems and AI-native in production.
• Fluent in observability, opinionated about API design, and energized by internal customers.

You Will:

• Expand DevDawg and Spice to cover more of our review surface.
• Modernize the backend framework layer and ship shared services and primitives.
• Set guardrails for coding agents and partner across the org.
