Role:
- Play a critical role in designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring the dedicated High Speed Research Network (HSRN).
- Improve network performance, security and scalability of the HSRN and related services provided, such as kubernetes, research data storage, etc.
- Partner closely with NYU IT network infrastructure team to align the operation and configuration of the HSRN with IT's network portfolio, policies, and standards, and best practices.
Required Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of designing, configuring and operating an enterprise-level TCP/IP network using OSPF/BGP.
- Knowledge of BGP and OSPF configurations, as well as traffic engineering.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and customer support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or related field or equivalent
- 5+ years of enterprise network experience, management of switches, routers, network security devices, load balancers and network service is required.
- Experience with HPC networks (Infiniband, ethernet).
