English to Latvian Medical Devices Linguist

About the Role:

• We are looking for experienced English into Latvian linguists specializing in Medical Devices and In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) documentation translation.
• Candidates must handle both translation and copy edit tasks within memoQ environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate medical device and IVD documentation from English (US) into Latvian.
• Perform copy edit (translation review) ensuring accuracy, terminology consistency, and compliance with quality requirements.
• Review and address QA and client feedback on flagged linguistic issues.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least two years of professional life sciences translation experience, specifically in Medical Devices and IVD.
• Proficiency with memoQ version 12.5 or higher and Microsoft Word.
• A degree in translation, linguistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Project Details:

• Language pair: English (US) to Latvian. Service line: Life Sciences – Medical Devices.
• Task types: Translation (per word) and Copy Edit (per hour or per word). Ongoing weekly availability required.
• Assessment will be part of onboarding; only apply if willing to complete it.
