Job Description
This is an opportunity for an experienced Informatics Analyst to support the growing adoption of Emory’s OpenSpecimen service offering for research labs and biorepository cores. The individual fulfilling this role will join the Laboratory Solutions Team within the Emory Digital Research Informatics Support group, overseeing biospecimen sample management and banking configurations in the Emory Enterprise sample tracking platform.
The individual should have experience in the implementation of complex, enterprise-level relational database information systems and be familiar with standard Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) requirements and processes. Responsibilities will include requirements collection, system configuration and testing, user training, and post-implementation system support. Must have a clear understanding of medical information privacy and security requirements.
The incumbent should have experience working within a multi-disciplinary project team, following established implementation patterns, and contributing to the ongoing support of the deployed application. The role involves interacting with clients/stakeholders to understand system requirements, performing application configuration, and participating in the development of the overall Emory LIMS application within the Emory enterprise architecture.
