Assists Research Administrative Services leadership in the day-to-day operations and administrative management of staff performing pre- or post-award activities for the sponsored projects research portfolio for their assigned department, division or school. Assists RAS leadership to hire, train and evaluate staff and monitors compliance with agency and University reporting regulations. Works with stakeholders to address any problems or issues that arise.

Reporting to the Research Administration Services (RAS) Director, this role leads and supervises staff performing pre-award activities for sponsored projects. Responsibilities include monitoring workload distribution, providing guidance to team members, and ensuring strong customer service to faculty and departments. The role also involves performing pre-award activities such as budget development, proposal compilation, and assisting with JIT forms.

Manages pre-award activities for grants and contracts within a Research Administration Services unit. Assists faculty in the development, preparation, and submission of grant and contract proposals, ensuring compliance with agency and university guidelines. The role involves budget development, proposal review, and coordination with various offices to facilitate the proposal process.

The Information Analyst I will clean, preprocess, and analyze datasets using statistical methods. Tasks include developing scripts in R or Python, generating visualizations (e.g., survival curves), and summarizing results in reports or presentations. Proficiency in statistical programming and survival analysis techniques, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
