Job Description

Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for various employee groups (Hourly, Salaried, Day Rate, Union/non-union) across multiple provinces in Canada. As part of a small but mighty team of Payroll professionals, primarily manage a specific pay group while collaborating closely with other payroll teams. Validate and maintain employee master data in ADP for hires, changes, terminations, and transfers. Partner with HR on payroll-related matters. Capture time entries, create batches, and import data into ADP. Prepare, calculate, and process payroll, deductions, retro pay, adjustments, terminations, ROEs, and travel allowances. Audit and balance payroll registers for assigned pay groups. Generate and distribute pay period and monthly reports. Prepare union reporting and payment requisitions. Maintain strict compliance with payroll processes and audit trails. Respond to employee payroll inquiries and escalate HR-related questions appropriately. Support year-end reconciliation and reporting. This role is fully remote.
