Job Description
This position will require the individual to support users at remote U.S. Air Force locations and work with virtual teammates across multiple time zones. The selected candidate will perform a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities. This position requires the candidate to install, configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software and components while evaluating complex system's production readiness and supportability. The candidate will be expected to perform the restoration of routine to complex computing service operations. Lastly, the selected candidate will gather computing requirements and confer on system needs. The candidate will also work directly with programs to ensure Information Technology (IT) infrastructure solutions meet the program requirements and schedules, providing comprehensive end-to-end computing support. The individual will provide network (internal and external), telecommunications (cell, Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Skype) and printing support; a broad range of systems and application support to include Active Directory (AD), Citrix, and Virtual Machine Ware (VMWare); prepares release planning for software and hardware across the system, including patch management; monitors, evaluates, and optimizes system performance; and performs preventive and corrective maintenance activities as needed.
