Payroll Accounting Specialist

About the Role:

• As a Payroll Accounting Specialist, you will report to the Senior Operational Accounting Manager and be responsible for reviewing and processing bi-weekly payroll for U.S. and Canadian subsidiaries.
• You will handle timecard review, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and compliance filings, as well as support year-end reporting and accounts payable activities related to benefits.

What You Will Do:

• Review and process bi-weekly payroll, resolve issues, and coordinate maintenance of the Dayforce payroll system.
• Prepare general ledger transactions, support the annual 401(k) audit, and ensure accurate benefits updates.
• Manage Canadian payroll requirements including ROEs and vacation rollover true-ups.

What Makes You a Good Fit:

• You have a BS in Accounting or 5+ years of payroll accounting experience, with 4-7 years of related experience.
• You must have experience processing payroll for both U.S. and Canadian entities and knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• You possess strong communication skills, a process improvement mindset, and a positive attitude.
