Overview:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly tech-savvy intern to support our virtual clinical operations team for a summer internship.
- This role requires extensive technology troubleshooting, as you will help patients navigate virtual appointment platforms and resolve basic technical issues.
- Strong technical competence is essential for success, and you will assist in creating a better healthcare experience for patients with chronic respiratory diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check patients in for scheduled virtual appointments, verify information, and collect/document copays or balances.
- Provide frequent, hands-on tech troubleshooting for patient connectivity issues, including audio, video, device setup, and platform access.
- Enter clinical and administrative data into patient charts accurately, recognize when to direct patients to clinical team members, and support general administrative tasks while adhering to HIPAA standards.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot device, audio/video, and connectivity issues are a must.
- Comfort guiding patients through technology challenges multiple times per shift, with excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, comfort with digital tools and EHR systems, ability to work independently, and professionalism, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in healthcare, clinical operations, or health administration.
- Prior experience in tech support, customer service, or administrative roles is a plus.
