About the Role:
- The Firefox Performance team is a community of engineers dedicated to making the browser fast, working on multiple platforms and contributing to open source.
- As a Senior Staff Performance Engineer, you will lead performance efforts, shape benchmarks, and drive strategies for the future.
What You'll Do:
- Write code and tests, build prototypes, and profile performance bottlenecks using various tools.
- Use multiple programming languages, with an emphasis on C++ and JavaScript, to fix performance issues.
- Educate other teams through code reviews, talks, and documentation to improve code performance.
What You'll Bring:
- BS/MS in CS or CE and 7+ years experience, with mastered understanding of C++ and JavaScript.
- Proven experience in performance critical software, debugging, and using profiling tools.
- Ability to work in a distributed team and drive cross-functional alignment.
