Handshake is recruiting Cost Estimator Professionals to contribute to an hourly, temporary AI research project—but there’s no AI experience needed.

• Receive job specifications from Customer Service, Manufacturing, or Sales.
• Review job specifications and apply knowledge of pricing and manufacturing to ensure that all aspects of the customer's project have been addressed and accounted for.
• Contact Sales to gather missing/incomplete information required to price a job.

• Prepare detailed residential construction budgets and material takeoffs from architectural drawings.
• Maintain and improve Excel-based databases for material pricing, subcontractor bids, and other cost data.
• Proactively check for inconsistencies and errors in estimates to prevent costly budget discrepancies.
