Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager is responsible for measuring, monitoring, and continuously improving the performance and reliability of applications. Expertise in planning, executing, and monitoring projects, often using Agile or other methodologies to ensure timely delivery. As a leader of leaders (Engineering Leadership), you will be a coach and advisor to your direct reports and act as an escalation point for them to continuously align your team with Xero’s objectives and deliverables. Collaborate and coach your team to align to Xero Engineering Standards eg: compliance and security requirements in the Path to Production Standard, front-end development requirements in the Web Application Standard. Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and advocate for the engineering team's needs. Mentor team members, encouraging them to explore new technologies and methodologies in their work.
