Job Description
This is a full-time position that requires a combination of highly developed organizing skills, administrative skills, research ability, relational ability, familiarity with models of community organizing training, experience developing and overseeing field plans to move targets, and great attention to detail for program evaluation and deliverable tracking. Additional responsibilities include leadership development, direct base building, and strategic planning with partner organizations and individual leaders. Field work is a necessary component of this role, and travel is required. A portion of time will be spent working with Community Changeβs sister organization, Community Change Action.
Principal responsibilities include: Advancing Health Equity/Care Economy teamβs key program; managing a portfolio of Health Equity/EJ partners; advancing Community Changeβs overall strategy to build a direct base of impacted leaders; working with grassroots partners to advance local/state policy campaigns; coordinating rapid response and cross-team Community Change campaigns; providing strategic support, broad campaign development, and overall coordination for organizing work; assisting partner organizations to develop strategies for building alliances and coalitions; supporting and building the organizing and training capacity of partner organizations; reporting and tracking campaign and partner progress; supporting communications efforts.
