Switchgear Technical Writer

Objective:

• Develop a comprehensive technical documentation library for low- and medium-voltage switchgear and power distribution equipment.
• Translate existing product specifications and engineering details into clear, organized documentation for engineering review, project submittals, approval, and installation.

Profile Overview:

• We are seeking a technical writer with direct experience in switchgear, power distribution, or electrical engineering environments.
• The ideal candidate combines strong technical writing skills with hands-on knowledge of low-voltage and medium-voltage equipment, particularly 480V+ power systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed technical specifications and submittal documentation for low- and medium-voltage switchgear and power distribution equipment.
• Create and organize a reusable documentation library that can be adapted to different engineering projects and designs.
• Translate technical product specifications and engineering details into clear, accurate written documentation.

Qualifications:

• Required: Previous technical writing, engineering, or design experience involving switchgear, low-voltage/medium-voltage equipment, or closely related power distribution systems.
• Highly preferred: Application engineering or design engineering experience within the switchgear/power distribution industry.
• Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted tools responsibly to organize information and accelerate technical documentation workflows.
