Key Responsibilities:
- Own emergency preparedness end to end: pre-incident response planning and training with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction, the facility Emergency Response Teams, and readiness for fire and medical events at every scale.
- Lead facility fire risk assessments and partner with Health and Safety on hazardous materials code compliance, covering Maximum Allowable Quantities, non-compatibles, and other AHJ storage and use requirements.
- Partner with Design and Delivery on plan review and commissioning of fire and life safety systems so protection is engineered in at the design stage.
What We Look For:
- You’ve conducted plan review and commissioning of fire and life safety systems per NFPA, FM, and IFC codes and standards.
- You hold a technical Fire Protection background and have managed emergency response team members or fire inspectors.
- You’ve led root-cause investigations using 5-Why or fault tree analysis and closed out corrective actions.
Work Environment:
- Travel 50 to 75% across the fleet, with work primarily in the field.
- Operate at the scale of a nation, not a building, with sites coming online in pieces.
- Write the playbook for an operations org running at unprecedented speed and scale.
