Safety Assessments:

  • Conduct thorough organizational and site-level safety assessments, reviewing internal and external documentation in advance.
  • Evaluate the safety culture and alignment with the Safety Management System, assessing conformance with BGCA membership requirements and OSHA.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, resolve obstacles, and provide immediate prioritization for high-risk observations.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Ensure assessment findings are based on objective evidence and prepare detailed reports with recommended mitigation strategies.
  • Develop improvement plans with specific corrective actions, timeframes, and responsibilities for addressing nonconformance.
  • Communicate effectively with Club leaders in person, virtually, and through written follow-up to ensure understanding of results.

Risk Mitigation:

  • Provide policy interpretations and basic safety corrections onsite regarding facility operation and staffing requirements.
  • Assign timelines for corrective action with follow-up, coordinating with QA National Directors as needed.
  • Facilitate follow-up actions to address non-compliance, including safety director involvement and peer consultations.
