Manager, Privacy & Regulatory Compliance

About the Role:

• We're looking for a Manager, Privacy & Regulatory Compliance to lead and scale Plooto's privacy program while responsibly adopting AI, automation, and data-driven technologies.
• This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone pragmatic, curious, and comfortable with evolving answers.
• The role reports to the Senior Manager, Compliance within the Payments Strategy & Compliance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and continuously improve Plooto's privacy program, serving as primary privacy subject-matter expert for Canadian privacy requirements.
• Provide practical privacy guidance, lead assessments, and embed privacy by design across product, engineering, and operations.
• Support enterprise risk management, regulatory change, and third-party risk activities with a practical, proportionate approach.

Qualifications:

• 3–6+ years of hands-on privacy experience in fintech, payments, technology, or regulated environments.
• Strong working knowledge of PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25, and other Canadian privacy laws; familiarity with U.S. frameworks is an asset.
• Practical experience with Privacy Impact Assessments, data rights, and incident response, plus genuine curiosity about AI and emerging technologies.
