Compliance Manager

About the Role:

• Serve as the primary operational lead for UK privacy compliance matters and act as the designated Data Protection Officer (DPO) for the UK entity.
• Support the UK Compliance function by leading and coordinating key second-line regulatory compliance and privacy oversight activities.
• Partner closely with Legal, Product, Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure a well-governed and effective UK compliance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee key UK privacy governance activities, including Data Protection Impact Assessments, privacy risk assessments, and incident governance.
• Develop the firm's Privacy Compliance Monitoring Programme, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and regulatory landscape.
• Provide second-line challenge and oversight of first-line control environments, including identification of gaps and remediation tracking.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, privacy compliance, or related control functions within financial services or fintech.
• Strong understanding of UK GDPR, DPIA, breach processes, data subject rights, and consumer protection requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into policies, standards, and governance routines.
