Chief External Affairs Officer

Revenue Strategy and Business Model:

• Develop and implement a multi-channel revenue strategy across institutional, individual, and capital sources.
• Own a $10M annual fundraising goal, including $6-7M in operations and $3M in investment capital.
• Align fundraising with programmatic priorities and identify opportunities for diversified revenue.

Funder and Investor Relationship Management:

• Maintain a portfolio of funders and investors, focusing on big-bet transformational gifts.
• Travel 2-3 times per quarter to conferences and convenings to deepen relationships.
• Apply an equity lens to capital pursuit and model aligned funding dynamics.

Brand, Positioning, and External Relations:

• Steward Common Future's brand and narrative across platforms and audiences.
• Ensure communications align with the strategic plan and theory of change.
• Produce high-quality external materials such as proposals, impact reports, and case stories.

Team Management and Leadership:

• Manage Fund Development and Strategic Communications teams, focusing on performance and development.
• Build a culture of excellence, creativity, and accountability.
• Partner with the Executive Leadership Team on organizational strategy and sustainability.
