The Role:
- Lead Engine's accounting function through scaling and automation.
- Build and develop a high-performing accounting leadership team.
- Drive the modern close with AI and automation at speed.
Responsibilities:
- Raise the talent bar and simplify how accounting work gets done.
- Automate high-volume work and apply AI to reconciliations and anomaly detection.
- Ensure headcount grows slower than transaction volume and complexity.
What You'll Bring:
- 10+ years of accounting leadership, CPA strongly preferred.
- AI-forward operating style with a track record of reducing manual work.
- Technical depth across ASC 606, 842, 718, and multi-entity close.
Compensation:
- Base salary range $199,000-$260,000 USD.
- Total comp may include equity and variable pay.
- Work remotely from anywhere in the US with hybrid options.
