Senior Staff Database Engineer

Role Overview:

• Support production stability of customer applications and infrastructure services.
• Be the ultimate escalation point for internal and external customers.
• Learn the platform end to end to support infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• 12 years experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years with a Master's; or 5 years with a PhD in database engineering.
• Deep PostgreSQL expertise including MVCC, transaction management, and vacuum mechanics.
• Strong Unix/Linux skills and experience with public cloud platforms.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with ServiceNow platform scripting and tuning.
• Scripting proficiency in shell, Python, JavaScript, Ansible.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
