Intermediate Developer

About the Role:

• You will be part of the Open Source Team, focusing on strengthening 1Password's open source posture and making developer tools accessible through agentic IDE integrations.
• You'll work on Agent Hooks and IDE plugins, contributing to the complete lifecycle of features from planning to release.
• This role is remote within Canada and the US, with travel for in-person engagement as needed.

What you'll do:

• Acquire and maintain a solid understanding of your development toolchain to contribute new features, improvements, and bug fixes.
• Participate in planning, development, release, and customer support for features, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
• Empower the customer support team and address tough issues, while being an active participant in team organization.

What we're looking for:

• Professional software development experience with independence in taking features from plan to release.
• Working knowledge of modern development toolchain (Git, IDEs, terminal, debugging, testing) and relevant languages.
• Interest in developer tooling, IDE integrations, open source community work, and agent-assisted development.
