Job Description
The Senior Business Development Engineer (Project Development Engineer) is a key client-facing role and responsible for identifying, pursuing, and developing new project opportunities in the oil & gas space within GSI’s core geotechnical markets. You'll collaborate with operations, design, and estimating teams to translate complex geotechnical challenges into innovative solutions. As part of GSI's project pursuit team, you will own client relationships from lead generation through project conversion.
Responsibilities include executing strategic account plans, identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, leading client meetings, and monitoring market trends. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, 12+ years of experience in a B2B or technical sales environment, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders. Candidates must be based in California, preferably in the Los Angeles, CA metro area, with approximately 50% regional travel required.
