Director of Development

The Director of Development will serve as the relationship owner for a portfolio of Code.org’s most significant existing donors, including top foundations, Fortune 500 companies, and high-net-worth individuals. They will develop and execute customized renewal and upsell strategies for each account, focusing on multi-year and unrestricted commitments. The director will also mentor a high-performing team of two fundraisers responsible for donor renewals across corporate and individual segments partnering with internal teams (Programs, Marketing, Product, Finance) to craft compelling impact reports, renewal proposals, and donor engagement materials. The director will serve as a primary development liaison for internal executive and program leadership when coordinating on complex or multi-stakeholder renewals collaborating with Code.org’s leadership team to shape the overall donor stewardship strategy and ensure consistent, high-quality engagement. They will monitor portfolio health and team performance using Salesforce and other tools to track renewals, revenue forecasts, and donor activity identifying and resolve potential churn risks early through proactive outreach and value reinforcement.
