Design Strategy & Mission Alignment:
- Drive cross-organizational design strategy and product vision by translating audience insights into scalable digital experiences.
- Guide projects from opportunity framing through prototyping, validation, systems design, and launch.
- Champion an evidence-driven design culture using rapid experimentation and audience feedback.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner closely with Product, Software Engineering, Research, Data, Newsroom/Editorial teams, and external UX consultants.
- Facilitate design thinking workshops and co-creation sessions with stakeholders.
- Present design strategies and user-centered rationale to cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
Inclusive Design & Accessibility:
- Design inclusive interfaces that comply with WCAG and web accessibility standards.
- Build, scale, and maintain robust, accessible design systems across web, native mobile, and connected audio surfaces.
- Provide constructive design critiques to foster professional growth and uphold high standards.
