Assistant Controller

About the Role:

• Hopper is hiring an Assistant Controller to automate the close and build data infrastructure connecting NetSuite.
• This role leads external audit, technical accounting, and month-end oversight with high independence.
• The position is central to achieving 100% automation across the accounting function.

What You'll Do:

• Own technical accounting research and memo drafting for complex transactions (ASC 470, 606, 842, SBC, etc.).
• Lead end-to-end global audit management and design internal controls for SOX readiness.
• Oversee month-end close quality, multi-entity consolidation, and automate reconciliation between GAAP and management figures.

Who You Are:

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with an active CPA designation.
• Public company experience with strong technical accounting, audit liaison, and SOX knowledge.
• Automation-first mindset with SQL and NetSuite experience; willingness to learn data tools.
