Job Description
We're seeking a Software Engineer with Kubernetes experience to enhance the Bitbucket Pipelines platform, a fast-growing Atlassian product that utilizes lightweight Kata VMs in Kubernetes, and Java-based services for orchestration and provisioning. As a member of our team, you’ll contribute to building and shipping features daily in a cross-geo distributed environment. The position offers an open, collaborative setting with senior engineers, architects, product managers, and designers and reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities include code review using best practices, sharing expertise in knowledge-sharing sessions, and ensuring complete visibility and monitoring of high-performing backend services. We are looking for someone with 4+ years experience in backend application development with proficiency in languages such Java, Kotlin, Go, Scala, and Python as well as experience with container and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker or ContainerD.
