Responsibilities:

  • Builds and sustains relationships with Catholic authors, agents, and institutions to identify new voices and publishing opportunities aligned with the imprint's mission.
  • Acquires and manages approximately 10 titles per year, evaluating author platforms and collaborating with marketing and sales teams on launch strategies.

Department and Financial Management:

  • Participates in leadership meetings for pipeline review, financial impact analysis, and budget monitoring to ensure alignment with revenue goals.
  • Supports the Publisher in sales analysis, annual budgeting, and business planning, while overseeing editorial team management and performance evaluations.

Product Development and Representation:

  • Collaborates on list planning, editorial schedules, and product development processes, including titling and cover direction meetings.
  • Represents Harper Catholic at conferences and industry events, serving as a visible ambassador and assisting in special initiatives to grow the business.
