Associate Director of Development, National Capital Region Chapter

General Description:

• Assist the Executive Director with local fundraising strategy to meet or exceed chapter revenue goals.
• Build and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and steward donor relationships.
• Align local fundraising with Blue Star Families' mission and organizational goals.

Key Job Functions:

• Meet or exceed annual fundraising goal of at least $100,000.
• Collaborate with the national Development team to identify funding opportunities.
• Maintain accurate donor records in CRM and assist with grant proposal writing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant fundraising experience in a nonprofit.
• Demonstrated success in individual giving, corporate sponsorships, or grant writing.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills; self-starter.
