Key Responsibilities:

  • Process routine payroll transactions, including time and attendance, leave audits, payroll adjustments, allotments, pay differentials, state tax resolution.
  • Support retirement-related payroll actions, including retirement deductions, and coordination of retirement and survivor benefit applications.
  • Maintain and reconcile payroll records and reports, ensuring accurate posting of payroll and retirement transactions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Planning, managing, and coordinating complex payroll disbursements.
  • Carrying out clerical and technical tasks related to payroll personnel issues, discrepancy resolution, and manual salary payments.
  • Researching and resolving payroll-related questions involving tax withholding, direct deposit, and separation benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Education and experience sufficient to perform the duties described.
  • Demonstrated understanding of federal payroll policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently under technical direction in a high-volume environment.
