Key Responsibilities:
- Process routine payroll transactions, including time and attendance, leave audits, payroll adjustments, allotments, pay differentials, state tax resolution.
- Support retirement-related payroll actions, including retirement deductions, and coordination of retirement and survivor benefit applications.
- Maintain and reconcile payroll records and reports, ensuring accurate posting of payroll and retirement transactions.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Planning, managing, and coordinating complex payroll disbursements.
- Carrying out clerical and technical tasks related to payroll personnel issues, discrepancy resolution, and manual salary payments.
- Researching and resolving payroll-related questions involving tax withholding, direct deposit, and separation benefits.
Qualifications:
- Education and experience sufficient to perform the duties described.
- Demonstrated understanding of federal payroll policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently under technical direction in a high-volume environment.
