Technical Architect - Health & Life Sciences

SAS Managed Cloud Services (MCS) is seeking a Technical Architect to lead the architecture and delivery of validated Health and Life Sciences (HLS) solutions using modern cloud platforms in public cloud environments—primarily Azure and AWS. This role is pivotal in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, compliant, and scalable solutions for regulated HLS customers. You’ll leverage deep technical expertise and industry knowledge to deliver robust solutions aligned with HLS regulatory requirements (such as HIPAA, GxP, and HITRUST), ensuring reliability, data integrity, and operational excellence across managed cloud offerings. You will architect, validate, and maintain field-deployed HLS solutions on Azure and AWS, ensuring they meet industry certification standards for regulated environments. Design and oversee implementations that comply with relevant HLS regulations, partnering with internal security, compliance, and product teams. You will deliver repeatable, scalable, and cost-effective deployment patterns using cloud-native services tailored for HLS workloads. You will also provide expertise on cloud cost optimization, reliability, and operational best practices.
