Quality and Design Authority:

  • Review course plans, course guides, and LMS builds against client standards and checklists before submission.
  • Provide substantive design feedback on assessability, assessment validity, and activity mix.
  • Ensure each course team completes review checklists and hold the line on accessibility and design standards.

Meetings and Client Contact:

  • Attend client calls as the design voice, presenting decisions and explaining trade-offs.
  • Participate in ID and SME calls when needed, especially for complex subjects or new SMEs.
  • Coordinate with project managers on sequencing, risks, and realistic dates.

Team and Project Coaching:

  • Coach designers new to the project or client, including those inheriting partial work.
  • Onboard contract designers to templates, review processes, and standards.
  • Keep review status visible in project systems to support project manager visibility.

Engagement and Expectations:

  • Contract per project with defined scope, paid at milestones; no timesheet required.
  • Expect a recurring weekly commitment with review turnaround within stated windows.
  • Use AI tooling and judge where AI-generated content meets standards; respond to email/Slack within one business day.
