Senior Ocean Science Program Manager (Chief Scientist)

Program Oversight:

• Ensure successful completion of all tasks and deliverables on time and within budget.
• Apply advanced scientific principles to solve complex technical problems.
• Lead senior-level engagement with NOAA and international scientific committees.

Strategic Direction:

• Develop long-term strategic plans and program roadmaps for OAP and GOMO.
• Oversee integration of oceanographic data into NOAA's operational models.
• Guide establishment of unified data quality control standards.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Direct development of scientific content for congressional reports (FOARAM Act).
• Translate technical findings for diverse audiences through exceptional writing skills.
• Represent programs at interagency and global ocean observing forums.
