Job Responsibilities:
- Administers and maintains database systems in support of AAO applications on Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL platforms.
- Installs, configures, upgrades, migrates, secures, patches, backs up, and recovers enterprise database systems.
- Troubleshoots complex database problems in a team environment and supports on-call DBA rotation.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience (equivalent experience accepted) with 6-8 years DBA experience.
- Automation using Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript, or batch files; experience with VMware ESXi, network storage, and enterprise backup solutions.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a NASA Public Trust background investigation.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL in clustered configurations; MS SQL Availability Groups, Oracle Data Guard, MySQL replication.
- Familiarity with SQL tools (Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, SSMS, SSRS, OEM) and operating systems (Red Hat Linux, Windows) on VMware.
