Director of AI Operations & Governance

Technical AI/ML Ownership:

• Evaluate, benchmark, and fine-tune ML and generative AI models in production.
• Partner with data science and ML engineering teams on model performance and drift detection.
• Maintain technical fluency in prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation.

AI Sustainment & Governance:

• Manage AI licenses, monitor usage, and optimize allocations for cost visibility.
• Own support tickets and lead continuous evaluations of AI tools and models.
• Maintain security outlook, coordinate patches, and design auditability frameworks.

Leadership & Strategy:

• Build and develop a team of AI operations professionals and contractors.
• Set strategic direction with a multi-quarter roadmap and budget.
• Provide regular updates to senior leadership on adoption metrics and risk.
