Head of AFC

Role scope:

• Own the AFC operating model across Xapo Bank and VASP entities.
• Operate within Board-ratified appetite bands and escalate by exception.
• Take accountability for metrics including alert volumes, clearance rates, and SAR timeliness.

Leadership and cross-functional work:

• Line-manage AFC analysts and remove single-person dependencies.
• Represent the first line in product groups, tuning financial-crime rules.
• Partner with CFO on cost-to-serve and capital impact of the operation.

Innovation and data ownership:

• Leverage AI to raise automated clearance rates and cut false positives.
• Produce business-essential reporting on manual-review volumes and remediation.
• Encode lessons from incidents back into first-line standards.
