Job Description
The HR Generalist I is responsible for the management of the employee life cycle (including recruiting, hiring, training, rewarding, and developing employees), employment-related processes, and employment-related policies. Produces and distributes reports related to personnel and benefits, and processes day-to-day benefits administration. The HR Generalist I will support the HR team in various HR functions, including employee relations, data entry, and employee engagement.
The role will provide human resources (HR) support to a major business unit or functional area. The role will implement and maintain HR processes. The HR Generalist I will assist the Human Resources Business Partner team with day-to-day HR activities, including policy implementation, performance management, and organizational development. Expected to address employee concerns and grievances, conduct investigations, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
The HR Generalist I will develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work environment and improve employee satisfaction, starting with the oversight of administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and data entry in HRIS partners. Expected to assist in the coordination and delivery of training programs for employees and managers. The HR Generalist I will maintain up-to-date records of all employees, handle employment-related inquiries from employees, and deliver communication on sensitive matters to appropriate staff members.
