Job Description
In collaboration with underwriting, the Business Development Manager is responsible for optimizing the profitable growth over the long term in an assigned geographic territory. They are also responsible for the development and execution of industry leading go-to-market and sales strategies while developing and maintaining highly effective relationships with independent agents and internal customers. Execution of business development plans, market research, competitive intelligence, product intelligence, and collaborating with internal partners to achieve both production and profitability targets. Establishes position as a trusted advisor while delivering product information, underwriting philosophy, customer experience benefits and new business development to increase depth and maximize agency revenue.Identifies opportunities within the assigned territory to leverage book roll and or book thinning opportunities. Develops understanding of specific industry characteristics including customer behaviors and patterns within the assigned territory.
