Position Summary:

  • Assist the Legal Research team with implementation of key activities under NASTAD's health systems legal and policy portfolio.
  • Conduct public health legal research and synthesize complex policy material.
  • Support development of deliverables to help health departments navigate federal, state, and local laws.

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct statutory and regulatory research on HIV and hepatitis policy issues.
  • Assist in developing resources, reports, tools/toolkits, and other materials based on legal research.
  • Execute amendments to existing NASTAD statutory and regulatory research products to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with legal research using Westlaw and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
