Position Summary:
- Assist the Legal Research team with implementation of key activities under NASTAD's health systems legal and policy portfolio.
- Conduct public health legal research and synthesize complex policy material.
- Support development of deliverables to help health departments navigate federal, state, and local laws.
Essential Duties:
- Conduct statutory and regulatory research on HIV and hepatitis policy issues.
- Assist in developing resources, reports, tools/toolkits, and other materials based on legal research.
- Execute amendments to existing NASTAD statutory and regulatory research products to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with legal research using Westlaw and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

NASTAD is a non-partisan, non-profit association representing public health officials who administer HIV and hepatitis programs in the U.S. The organization represents members in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and several local and Pacific Island jurisdictions, fostering a collaborative and mission-driven culture.
