Responsibilities include processing payments, updating patient demographics, providing claim status updates, and explaining copays and deductibles. To succeed, candidates must know how to interpret and explain Explanation of Benefits (EOB) forms. Excellent written communication skills and polite phone etiquette are essential. Problem-solving skills are also important for addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues efficiently. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of managing tasks independently with keen attention to detail. Healthcare experience is required.
