Senior Accountant

About the Role:

• We are hiring our first dedicated in-house Senior Accountant to own day-to-day accounting operations and, over time, help build and lead our accounting function.
• You will work closely with our CFO/COO, FP&A team, and external accounting partners in a high-volume, multi-channel payment environment.

What You Will Do:

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process and drive it to predictable, on-time completion.
• Reconcile complex, high-volume payment flows including merchant processing fees, chargebacks, refunds, Rise account activity, PayPal activity, and affiliate payouts.
• Produce accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and build scalable accounting processes.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full cycle month-end close ownership, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and experience with cloud accounting or ERP systems like QuickBooks or NetSuite.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, along with a high degree of ownership and comfort operating autonomously in a remote environment.
