Responsibilities:
- Patient Registration and Scheduling: Accurately enter clinical, demographic, and insurance data into the electronic medical record; provide procedure explanations and secure legal forms.
- Eligibility/Authorization Management: Identify insurance carriers, verify benefits, and secure authorizations for medical services using web-based tools.
- Financial Counseling: Educate patients on insurance coverage and financial assistance programs; collect payments and perform cash reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Terminology coursework preferred.
- Preferred experience: 1 year in call center or customer service, or 1 year in a medical facility; basic computer skills including 25-35 wpm typing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred.
