As a Data Engineer at TealBook, you will tremendously impact our engineering team and the broader organization, building the next-generation supplier data platform. You will design, build, test and deploy the required backend services to enable the system to ingest, process, store and distribute/present supplier data at web scale.

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist III to manage the entire data science lifecycle, including data acquisition, preparation, model development, deployment, and monitoring; you will apply advanced techniques in Python programming, machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI to address complex challenges and develop high-impact solutions.

Lead a team in building and maintaining large scale data processing pipelines, focusing on information extraction from AV logs and data transformation. You will design scalable data processing solutions, implement interfaces for self-service data pipelines, and champion code quality while mentoring engineers in a fast-paced environment. Your work will deal with petabyte scale data.

You will play a critical part in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive decision-making and business strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify trends, and provide recommendations that support organizational goals. Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources.

Build and improve ML models, including retraining and optimizing open-source models to solve Samsara-specific problems. Work with petabyte-scale data from Samsara’s cameras and diverse sensors to develop new multimodal models. Research and apply cutting-edge technologies from the latest industry and academic research.

Perform development activities within a data engineering team, guiding and training Data Engineer I, while collaborating with various teams to develop data pipelines and enhancements. Extract, clean, and load data, build data pipelines using SQL, Kafka, and other technologies. Investigate and document new data sets as well as triage incoming bugs and incidents.

The Data Engineer will be a key team member in developing and delivering DUAL North America's data platform and reporting solutions; This role will help implement the data architecture and data platform roadmap that will enable analytics and reporting for the enterprise; The role requires technical skills to develop data engineering pipelines and business acumen to deliver solutions further business objectives.
