Responsible for maintaining the stability and performance of our services, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant. You’ll work closely with hardware and software engineers to build and maintain tools that improve the reliability and efficiency of our systems.
As an Infrastructure Engineer on Vanta’s Infrastructure & Security team, you'll provide a platform that powers the scalability, performance, and reliability of Vanta’s core systems. You will design and build scalable infrastructure to support rapid growth in data volume, service usage, and engineering velocity; lead projects across our cloud infrastructure; and implement and maintain core security infrastructure and controls.
In this role, you’ll work on a SCRUM team building and integrating platforms that will have a direct impact on Data & Machine Learning processes, Application Development and Deployment, Test Automation, and more. You will focus on Production Readiness & Operations and design resilient systems. Light-duty experience with UI is a plus.
As a member of the Compute Reliability and Efficiency team, you’ll be solving some of the world’s largest at-scale infrastructure problems using software we create along with integrating services from the cloud native ecosystem. Your work will directly impact hundreds of millions of users around the world. You will work collaboratively with a team of software engineers to create and maintain the foundational platform for running Reddit’s infrastructure. You will also design, write (Golang), and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Reddit’s Compute Platform.
As an engineer, you will drive the mitigation and resolution of incidents, and improve toilsome availability-related processes. You will identify opportunities for improvement, communicate incident status clearly to customers, and embed directly with service teams. This role requires communicating internally with many engineers globally and responding to Slack messages.
