As a DevOps Engineer (AWS Focused), you’ll design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure that powers our clients’ cloud-native applications. You’ll leverage AWS, GitLab CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and OpenTofu to create scalable, secure, and automated deployment pipelines. This role requires a hands-on engineer with a strong understanding of AWS architecture and deployment automation.

$90,000–$150,000/yr

This role is focused on scaling DevOps, site reliability, security engineering and FinOps best practice across the engineering team. Reliability is the most important feature of Hudl.com. You will be part of the Platform Engineering team but will work really closely with the wider product team, to successfully build adoption for new observability technologies, process and system architecture.

You will engineer and operate a highly reliable, scalable, and defensible production environment, directly impacting our ability to deliver a world-class service to our customers 24/7.

We are an Engineering Team that deploys, integrates, and operates critical enterprise applications for customers, using modern concepts of SRE and DevOps in various cloud environments. Your tasks will include implementation, operation, and documentation for cloud projects, performing health checks, optimizing monitoring, and executing deployments in cloud environments. Collaboration with developers and internal departments around agile DevOps and operational processes, automation with Infrastructure-as-Code, and support for simple programming tasks will also be key.

Responsible for assisting the development team in the implementation, maintenance, evaluation, infrastructure automation, always ensuring the quality, performance and optimization of the infrastructure. Assist the development team with automated deployments, monitoring, response and support to incidents or other related events. In addition, it provides support and guidance to other people on your work team in any other task related to the position.

The candidate will be expected to rapidly deliver solutions, quickly implement and adapt infrastructure using Terraform, Pulumi, or other major IaC tools, and design, build, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines. You will provision and manage foundational cloud services, have expertise in container platforms like EKS, GKE, ECS, Fargate, or Cloud Run, and understand networking concepts.

As an experienced member of the new product development team, you will design, plan and develop hands-on complex backend services and cloud infrastructure for our mobile platform with a focus on scalability, performance and reliability. You will actively take ownership of your services and infrastructure, drive technical decisions in coordination with technical stakeholders such as platform teams, and define quality and performance standards.

Design and build enterprise cloud infrastructure automation, pipeline automation and cloud capabilities used by the enterprise. Partner with application, security, and architecture teams to build re-usable and secure cloud infrastructure to be used by business applications. Knowledge of cloud computing industry trends and apply that knowledge to continually innovate and evolve the enterprise cloud platform.
