Support the Operations Section Manager with personnel administration, strategic planning, and staff planning. The Network Operations Senior Engineer will work alongside the Service Delivery Team, Architecture Team, and Security Team to support their objectives. Provide maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting support for NIHNet’s DWDM circuits.

The Datacenter Operations Senior Engineer will work alongside the Service Delivery Team, Architecture Team, and Security Team to support their objectives. Mentor network operations engineers and participate in shift lead duties to ensure each escalated issue is efficiently assigned. Engage with the Sections to perform baselines of Data Center and Colocation systems.

This role’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support the Tools Team objectives, assist with reviewing threshold and performance monitoring to enhance reporting of metrics, and assist with optimizing CIT’s existing comprehensive suite of tools used to manage the NIH networks. They will also proactively test and implement vendor upgrades and patches.
